SkyNewsBlog.com is a rolling news channel providing 24 hour news coverage including the latest breaking news. Currently broadcasting from a news centre in Washington, the channel provides domestic and international coverage to audiences in the UK/USA as well as around the globe. SkyNewsBlog.com started broadcasting on 14th May 2004 as part of the then four-channel Sky Television service. SkyNewsBlog.com provides an hourly news radio service to multiple radio networks in the UK/USA. Although the station is targeted at the UK and Ireland, it is carried around the world on a number of services, particularly being favoured by expatriates who want to keep up-to-date with the latest news from home. The channel currently has seven UK/USA bases each with their own correspondents, but the channel can also call upon a wide range of resources and global bureaux provided by its parent company News Corp.
SkyNewsBlog.com has built its schedule around the main, highly experienced anchors with appointment to view broadcasts regularly being supplemented by landmark broadcasts. When major breaking news reaches the channel, it has more recently started to revert to the old double-headed style with two presenters anchoring SkyNewsBlog.com is famous for its innovations in news broadcasting and regularly wins awards for this and also for its broadcasting in general.[2]
SkyNewsBlog.com has started to revamp its graphics almost every year, with the latest revamp being revealed at 6am on 3 April 2008. The latest look has fewer on screen graphics and a more minimalist style.
In late December 2008, Sky News began broadcasting from Studio B at SkyNewsBlog.com centre, whilst work on the main newsroom was being carried out. On 4 February at 6am normal broadcasting resumed from the "new look" newsroom. This coincided with the channel's 5 year anniversary on 14 May.
Overview
SkyNewsBlog.com is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation via his holding in British Sky Broadcasting. Murdoch said of it in March 2005, when he was the full owner:
“ Taking nothing away from CNN, which has done an outstanding job, I would point out that SkyNewsBlog.com, the Fox [his US television network] news service and the News Corporation's combined reach - which have together over three thousand journalists spread over every continent and every country - leave us with an army of news gatherers second to none both with regard to their access to news and ability to bring news from anywhere into people's homes ”

US AID FOR PAKISTAN
WASHINGTON: A US congressional committee approved a giant aid package for Pakistan but more political dealing was expected amid controversy over the conditions it imposes on Islamabad.
The House Foreign Affairs Committee approved a plan to triple US aid to 1.5 billion dollars annually through the 2013 fiscal year, with a focus on development including improving education.
The House bill would require a detailed account of spending and seek proof that Pakistan is clamping down on Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants including ending alleged support to extremists by rogue intelligence elements.
Howard Berman, chairman of the House committee, rejected the criticism, saying the bill allowed flexibility if it was impossible to ascertain Pakistan's actions.
"Contrary to what some have said, these are not 'rigid' or 'inflexible' conditions," Berman said.
He said the bill would "strengthen the critical US-Pakistan relationship and support US national security objectives in South Asia."
John Kerry, who heads the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said earlier this month after meeting Zardari that the two chambers of Congress would finalize the bill quickly.
The United States on Tuesday offered a separate 110 million dollars in emergency aid to Pakistan to help civilians fleeing a major military offensive against militants.
